Tracey’s first encounter with yoga was at The Light Within Yoga Studio in 2011. She knew from her first class that yoga was something that she felt compelled to study and teach. It’s been a slow but beautiful journey that did indeed lead Tracey to complete her 200 hour YTT with Alison in April 2016. The many personal health and emotional benefits that she has experienced are what motivate her to want to share yoga with others. Her focus is on making others feel better by moving the body in ways that are accessible to all levels and incorporating deep relaxation as a tonic for your whole being. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and their three dogs. Her favorite activities are hiking in the woods, kayaking, cooking (and eating), studying yoga, playing group games and reading.
Tracey has been teaching gentle, beginner, Vinyassa, and restorative yoga classes as well as private lessons since completing her 200 hour YTT with Alison Donnley at the Light Within in April of 2016. She has earned additional certifications in restorative yoga, Unite for Her and Yoga for All. Tracey teaches each class striving to meet each student where they are, providing the tools needed for each student to leave feeling empowered and relaxed. She wants each individual to come as they are without feeling like they have to be in any particular body or have special knowledge or abilities. Her classes often include a bit of mindfulness, poetry and inspiration to take off the mat.
