I completed my RYT 200 yoga teacher training in September 2014 through the Rasika Yoga School which focuses on an alignment-based hatha style yoga. I teach core sculpt, gentle/restorative, hatha, flex and flow, stretch, and vinyasa classes. I’m beginning a self-study of the principles of yin yoga, and I love learning more about Ayurveda.
My previous teaching experience includes kickboxing, resistance band training, communication at the 2-year and 4-year college levels, high school English, and two kids how to tie their shoes. I practice Ahimsa when I can by eating vegan and braking for squirrels!
My favorite thing to hear as a yoga teacher is “Yoga has changed my…” I fully believe that the journey of yoga takes people further in their lives. Whether it is increased flexibility or strength, more stable balance or freedom in poses, yoga allows people of all ages to become more. Michelangelo’s quote, “I am still learning” is one that I fully embrace.
