UpLIFT Nola is located in the beautiful, historic Algiers Point neighborhood on the Westbank of New Orleans. The studio is more than 100 years old and has served the community in numerous capacities, but today it offers a quaint and quiet place to rejuvenate. Sandra has been a plus size yogi since the 1990's and a yoga teacher since 2003. One of the original pioneers of body positive yoga in the Thurston County area, Sandra has been blessed to share the mat with many people who are learning to love themselves just as they are. It is inspiring to be a part of the #TuesdayNightClass community where all are loved and welcomed.
Sandra credits yoga for helping her to save her own life; from fibromyalgia, a brain injury as a child, Meneire's disease, depression , anxiety and in recovery from addiction. It is through yoga that Sandra has found the courage to recover and she shares her passion on the mat every week with her students and community.
