About: In Ayurvedic Medicine, kapha is one of three doshas, and everyone has some grouping of each of them. I am no exception, but in many ways I identify with my kapha component, particularly when it comes to my yoga practice. Kapha folks are larger, a bit slower, have incredible powers of endurance, and really can use the stoking of their fire through a steady and vigorous yoga practice.
As a large-bodied yogi, I have learned a lot about building a practice that I love, and I want to work with you (no matter which dosha you identify with!) to build something that will strengthen and restore you through the practice of asana. I personally follow and promote the Health At Every Size model, which focuses on moving the body you are in, regularly and joyfully. With warmth and good humor, I teach people of all sizes to love and accept themselves and others through the empowering practice of progressive yoga, and to create a safe haven for people to explore their limits.

About: My mission with Body Positive Yoga, is to make yoga accessible to everyone regardless of gender, age, race, ability, body shape or size. To provide a space where all bodies are celebrated and respected and to be particularly supportive for those who struggle with body confidence and self-acceptance.
Developing this physical and spiritual practice allows us to develop trust, respect and acceptance in who we are on and off the mat. It’s a way to feel good in your body and to make peace with your body, exactly as it is right now.
My classes provide a safe and supportive environment to explore gentle, joyful movement with no judgement or expectation to ‘keep up’.

About: Some might say that my passion for yoga is as big as my smile. Yoga has been my passion and practice consistently for the past five years. My classes focus on integrating breath, movement, meditation & philosophy to engage my students in creating and nurturing the space between their thoughts, feelings and actions to find what yoga means in their daily lives. I believe that yoga encourages body awareness, love and acceptance. I encourage my students to love the body that they are in as it is the only one they have for this journey that we call life.
